This Revision Petition is directed against the order dated 9.3.2005 passed by the learned Civil Judge [Junior Division], Amritsar whereby an application for providing police help moved by the respondent – plaintiffs has been allowed. The said order was passed in a suit for permanent injunction.
While issuing notice of motion, this Court vide order dated 31.03.2005 stayed operation of the impugned order dated 09.03.2005 and confirmed the same while admitting the revision petition.
The record reveals that the suit was filed in the year 2004. There is every likelihood that by now the suit might have been decided. In any case, the parties have re-conciled with the interim order which is holding the field from last about five years.
For the reasons afore-stated, I am not inclined to go into the merits of the rival contentions and dispose of this revision petition with a direction that the impugned order dated 9.03.2005 shall not be given effect during the pendency of the suit.
The observations made in the impugned order as also in this order shall, however, not be construed as an expression of opinion on the merits of the case.
Disposed of.
