Pursuant to order dated March 18, 2009, respondent No.1 has come present. He states that the possession of the property in question has already been handed over to the petitioner on 17.4.2009 and relinquishment deed registered on 23.12.2008. He undertakes to lend all possible co-operation in the matter of sanction of the mutation in favour of the petitioner.
The aforementioned statement of respondent No.1 regarding delivery of possession and registration of the relinquishment deed has not been disputed by the petitioner, who is also present in the Court.
In view of the fact that the possession of the property stands delivered to the petitioner and relinquishment deed duly registered and that

respondent No.1 has no opposition to the sanctioning of the mutation, respondent No.2 is directed to proceed in the matter and sanction the mutation within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a certified copy of the order.
In view of the above, the contempt proceedings are dropped.
In case the mutation is not sanctioned by respondent No.2 within the stipulated period of time, the petitioner shall be at liberty to file an application for revival of the petition.
