The petitioner, who was Sarpanch in the earlier Gram Panchayat, Village Rame, Tehsil Shahkot, District Jalandhar, has filed this petition for quashing of the order dated 22.6.2007, passed by the District Development and Panchayat Officer, Jalandhar (respondent No.3), whereby an Administrator was appointed for the development works and for utilization of the grant of the Gram Panchayat.
Since after the general elections of the Gram Panchayat, new Panchayat has been elected and constituted as per the provisions of the Punjab Panchayati Raj Act, 1994, counsel for the petitioner states that this

Accordingly, this petition is disposed of as having rendered
infructuous.
