The petition has been filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. for seeking protection of life and liberty of the petitioner from the hands of local police.
Allegations, in brief, have been made against one Pardeep Kumar, Sub Inspector, Police Station, City, Faridkot. It has been pleaded that the police officials come to the shop of the petitioner i.e. a medical store and demand illegal gratification.
Reply has been filed in which it has been indicated that no person by the name of Pardeep Kumar has been posted as Sub Inspector in Police Station,

City, Faridkot. The allegations of harassment have also been denied. It has further been contended that the petitioner is not wanted in any case.
In view of the stand taken by the
respondent State, the petition is disposed of.
It is made clear that in case the
petitioner has a grievance in future, he shall be at liberty to approach this Court.
