This petition has been filed under Section 482, Code of Criminal Procedure, praying for handing over the investigation to some independent agency. The prayer further is for issuing directions to the respondents to file the final report under Section 173, Code of Criminal Procedure, in FIR No.117 dated 23.7.2005 under Sections 307/34, Indian Penal Code, Police Station, Kotkapura, District Faridkot, in the court having competent jurisdiction.
Learned counsel for the respondent-State has pointed out from the reply that the matter was investigated at length. The matter is being sent untraced and the same is pending before SSP, Faridkot, for finalization, whereafter it shall be presented before the court having competent jurisdiction.

Having regard to the delay already caused, it is directed that the final report under Section 173, Code of Criminal Procedure, would be filed in the court having competent jurisdiction within 15 days from today.
The petitioner would have an appropriate remedy under the
Code of Criminal Procedure.
