Copies of the writ petition have been supplied to the learned counsel for the respondents.

The petitioners have approached this Court for issuance of directions to the respondents not to send the paddy of purchase centers of Bareta, Kulrian, Bhawa, Bhakshiwala,Kahangarh, Dharampura, Gobindpura, Bhakhrial, Chack Alisar, Reound Kalan, Biraywala Dhogran, Dialpura, Kishangarh and Rangrial falling under and attached with Market Committee Bareta District Mansa to sheller/rice mills outside Bareta for shelling. A further direction has been sought to the respondents to follow in letter and spirit the policy

for custom milling of kharif 2006-07. A copy of the policy has been attached as Annexure P.1.

From the perusal of the record, we find that a representation dated October 1, 2006 (Annexure P.5) has been filed by the petitioners which remains unresponded so far.

In this view of the matter, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioners, we dispose of the present petition with a direction to the Director Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Punjab, respondent No.2 to take a final decision on the aforesaid representation (Annexure P.5) within a period of three week from the date a certified copy of this order is received, by passing a detailed and speaking order.
