Copies of the writ petition have been supplied to the learned counsel for the respondents.

The petitioners claim that they are commission agents and as per the rules/regulations framed by the Punjab State Agricultural Marketing Board, respondent No.2, are entitled to allotment of sites in New Anaj Mandi at Mansa. It has also been claimed by the petitioners that after the issuance of letters of intent, they have deposited 25% of the amount required for allotment of said sites, but the sites are not being allotted to them.

After hearing the learned counsel for the petitioners and taking into consideration the averments made in the present petition, we dispose of the present petition by granting a liberty to the petitioner to approach the Secretary, Punjab State Agriculture Marketing Board, respondent No.2 for the grant of requisite relief.

For the aforesaid purpose, the petitioners shall file individual and detailed representations before the Secretary, Punjab State Agricultural Marketing Board, respondent No.2 within a period of four weeks from the date a certified copy of this order is received, by appending all the relevant documents. In case any such representations are filed by the petitioners before the Secretary, Punjab State Agricultural Marketing Board, respondent No.2, then the claim of the petitioners shall be considered and thereafter an appropriate decision shall be taken by the Secretary, Punjab State Agricultural Marketing Board, respondent No.2, by passing detailed and speaking orders within a further period of four months after the filing of the said representation.
