Present : Mr. Vipin Mahajan, Advocate for the petitioners. Mr. B.S. Baath, AAG, Punjab.
Prayer in this petition is, for grant of anticipatory bail in case FIR No.47 dated 4.3.2006 registered under Sections 306 and 498-A IPC at Police Station Civil Lines, Batala, Distt.Gurdaspur.
The order dated 2.11.2006, reads as follows :
“ Counsel for the petitioners contends that the petitioners are father-in-law and mother-in-law of the deceased. They were found innocent by the police. It is contended that the petitioners reside separately from the deceased and her husband, as is evidenced by the copies of ration cards (Annexures P-4 & 5), and electricity bills (Annexures P-6 & P-7). It is further contended that the allegations with respect to cruelty, demand of dowry etc., are general in nature and vague. No purpose would be served by sending the petitioners to jail.

In case, the petitioners surrender before the trial Court within a week from today, they shall be released on interim anticipatory bail to the satisfaction of the trial Court.
Copy of this order be given dasti on payment of usual charges.”
Counsel for the petitioners submits that petitioners have appeared before the trial Court and have been released on anticipatory bail, to its satisfaction.
Counsel for the State of Punjab pleads no instructions.
I have no reason to doubt the correctness of the statement made
by counsel for the petitioners. Consequently, order of this Court dated 2.11.2006 is made absolute. The petitioners shall, however, furnish fresh bail bonds to the satisfaction of the trial Court.
