Initially, the petitioner has filed this petition under Articles 226 and 227 of the Constitution of India, which has now been converted into Crl. Misc.
The petitioner has filed this petition for setting aside letter/circular/order dated 17.12.2004 bearing D.O. No. 572/SO issued/passed by respondent No.3.
Counsel for the respondent-State, on instructions from ASI Avtar Singh, has stated that the letter dated 17.11.2004 issued by Inspector General of Police (annexed as Annexure P-31 with the petition) was never implemented and will not be implemented in future.
In view of the aforesaid statement made by counsel for the respondent-State, counsel for the petitioner does not want to press this petition.
Dismissed as not pressed.
