The petitioners apprehend arrest in connection with Daraundha P.S. Case No. 31 of 2026 registered for offences under Sections 307 of B.N.S., 2023.

As per the prosecution case, the petitioners and others demanded extortion money ( rangdari ) from the informant and when he did not give the same, they returned with another unknown person and on gun-point, they took out Rs. 30,500/- from the pocket of the informant. They also hit near the eye of the informant.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submit that

petitioners are quite innocent and have not committed any offence. Their names have been inserted in this case due to ulterior motive and local rivalry. The petitioners claims clean antecedent. The allegations levelled are general and omnibus in nature. No ingredients of Section 307 of B.N.S. is made out against the petitioners.

Learned A.P.P. for the State has vehemently opposed the prayer for bail.

Considering the allegation of demand of extortion ( rangdari ), I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioners.

Accordingly, this application is dismissed.

The petitioners are directed to surrender before

the court below within a period of two weeks from today and pray for regular bail, failing which the Superintendent of Police, Siwan will take all steps for the arrest of the petitioners.
