petitioner and learned A.P.P. appearing on behalf of the State.
2. The petitioner apprehends his arrest in a case registered for the offences punishable under Sections 498(A), 323, 417, 504, and 506 of the Indian Penal Code.
3. As per the prosecution case, the complainant married the petitioner in the year 2013. After two months of marriage, the accused persons started demanding Rs. 2 lakhs and a motorcycle, and upon her inability to fulfill the demand, the accused persons used to torture her. On 16.10.2013, at around 11:00 O’Clock, the accused persons allegedly assaulted her and threw her out of the house.

From the impugned order, it appears that the petitioner’s earlier prayer for anticipatory bail had been disposed of by the trial court with a direction to him to surrender before the Court below and prefer regular bail. Instead of complying with the directions, petitioner has renewed his prayer after lapse of ten years. There is no explanation for the delay. Petitioner does not reveal any fresh or new ground.
5. Considering the aforesaid facts and circumstances, the prayer for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner is rejected.
