A.P.P. for the State.
2. The petitioner apprehends his arrest in connection with Vidhyapati Nagar P.S. Case No. 182 of 2023, registered for the offence punishable under Sections 498A and 500 of the I.P.C. read with Section 3 and 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act and Section 66(A) of the Information Technology Act.
3 . The case of the prosecution, in short, is that the informant alleged that the petitioner has fraudulently married

her where he was given Rs. 15 lacs, gold silver ornaments and other household items. After marriage, the informant came to know that her husband is a liquor drink and he started torturing her physically and mentally. When the informant went for her training, her husband forced her for meeting and to do long talk on phone. He in-laws tortured her family members for dowry and demanded a sum of Rs. 50 lacs and threatened to burn and kill the informant. An objectionable video of the informant has also been uploaded on a social networking site.
4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is innocent and has falsely been implicated in the present case. The petitioner is the husband of the informant. He further submits that the entire case is false and fabricated and there is no alleged demand of dowry. It is further submitted that the petitioner has never tortured the informant and there is no specific allegation against the petitioner.
5. Learned A.P.P. for the State opposes the prayer of anticipatory bail.
6. The serious nature of the allegation against the petitioner is that he has tortured the informant for the sake of dowry and also on 06.11.2023, he is alleged to have uploaded an objectionable video of the informant on facebook. Under these

circumstances, this Court is not inclined to grant privilege of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
7. Accordingly, the present anticipatory bail
application stands rejected.
