2 . The petitioner has preferred this application for grant of regular bail in connection with Sikandara P.S. Case No. 99 of 2024 dated 16.03.2024 registered for the offences punishable u/s 394 of the Indian Penal Code.

3 . As per the prosecution case, three unknown miscreants stopped the pick-up van of the informant after putting a barrier on the gun point and snatched the Addhar Card, License and Rs. 10,000/- and also snatched Rs. 21,000/- from the owner of the Gram. They further damaged the pick-up van

of the informant with bricks and stones and fled away from the spot.

4 . Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner is innocent and has falsely been implicated in this case. The petitioner is not named in the FIR. The name of the petitioner has surfaced in this case on the basis of confessional statement of the co-accused. Learned counsel has further submitted that the petitioner has no concern with the alleged recovery. Similarly situated co-accused has already been granted bail by the co-ordinate bench of this court vide order dated 26.06.2024 passed in Cr. Misc. No. 42838 of 2024. The petitioner has clean antecedent as stated in para 3 of the bail petition. The petitioner is in custody since 17.03.2024.

5 . Learned A.P.P. for the State has vehemently opposed the bail petition of the petitioner.

Considering the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case as well as the nature of allegation levelled against the petitioner and the period of custody, the petitioner above-named, is directed to be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail-bond of Rs.20,000/- (Rupees Twenty Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Court concerned, Jamui, in connection with Sikandara P.S. Case No. 99 of 2024.
