2 14-12-2023 The following prayer has been made by the

petitioner:-

“(A)For direction upon the respondents not to impinge upon the fundamental right of the petitioner to profess, practice and propagate religious belief and ideas of the Jesus in village Belwa, Chhawani, of Vijaipur police station, Gopalganja the said activities do not offend any public order, national morality and health of the people under Article 25 of the Constitution of India, nor trenches upon the reasonable restriction, if any, imposed by clause 2 of Article 19 thereof.

(B) For direction upon the District Magistrate, Gopalganj and the Superintendent of Police, Gopalganj to ensurepeaceful profession, uninterrupted practice and limpid propagation of religious belief and ideas of the Jesus by the petitioner and other devotees in village Belwa, Chhawani, of Vijaipur police station, Gopalganj.

(C)For direction to the Chief Secretary of the Govt. of Bihar, Patna to dispose of the representation pending before him for removing the obstacles created by the local police of Vijaipur police station, Gopalganj in professing, practicing and propagate the religious belief and ideas of the Jesus”.

The Superintendent of Police, Gopalganj is directed to look into the matter and if he finds substance in the allegations levelled by the petitioner then he will direct the local S.H.O. not to disturb the petitioner.

This writ petition shall be treated as representation of the petitioner by the Superintendent of Police, Gopalganj.

With the aforesaid observation and direction, this application is disposed of.

Let a copy of this order be communicated to the Superintendent of Police, Gopalganj through FAX for its compliance forthwith.
