The present writ petition has been filed for directing the respondent authorities to pay the amount of provident fund and group insurance along with up to date statutory interest.
The learned counsel for the respondents, referring to the third supplementary counter affidavit filed on behalf of the Respondents No. 1 to 4, has submitted that as far as credit for the period 1983 to 1984 and 1988 to 1989 is concerned, the deduction chart, produced before this Court, shows that for the period May 81 to February 82 and March 82 to April 82,

deduction and credit was made month wise while for the period of 29.06.1982 to 31.08.1988, deduction and credit was made at one go instead of monthly deduction and the credit totals up to a sum of Rs. 3885/-. It is further stated that as far as payment of interest till 31.8.1996, under the head of group insurance, is concerned, the principal amount having already been paid, there is no calculation mistake.
The respondents have also filed counter affidavit from time to time wherein they have demonstrated that the amount being claimed by the petitioner has already stood paid.
The petitioner has not filed any rejoinder to the counter affidavit / supplementary counter affidavits filed on 11.10.2018, 5.12.2018, 7.12.2018 and on 6.12.2018, despite indulgences having been granted to do so.
Apparently, the petitioner appears to be flogging a dead horse, hence, nothing remains in the present writ petition to be adjudicated. Accordingly, the same is dismissed.
