The present writ petition is filed for seeking the

following reliefs :-

“(i) for issuance of an order, direction or writ in the nature of Mandamus, commanding the respondent authorities to make entry in the O.D. record of the arms license of the petitioner before the office of Arms Licensing Office, Patna, so as to allow the petitioner to get his licence renewed at Patna. (ii) For issuance of an order, direction or writ in the nature of Mandamus, commanding the respondent authorities to dispose of the case bearing no. 4-159 of 2007 which is still pending for such a long time by which process was initiated to make entry in O.D records in accordance with law.”

Having regard to the aforesaid grievances of the petitioner herein, I deem it fit and appropriate to grant liberty to the petitioner to file appropriate representation within a period of four weeks from today, before the District Magistrate, Patna who shall consider the grievances of the petitioner and pass appropriate orders, with a view to settle the dispute in question, within a period of eight weeks, thereafter.

The present writ petition stands disposed off on the aforesaid terms.
