APP for the State.
The petitioner seeks bail in a case registered under Sections 341, 323, 324, 325, 385, 379, 504/34 of the Indian Penal Code.
The prosecution case, in brief, is that the petitioner abused the informant and demanded ransom of Rs. 2,00,000/(two lacs) for continuation of work, which was being executed by the informant.
It has been submitted on behalf of the petitioner that there is no allegation of tampering of witnesses alleged against the petitioner. The petitioner is in custody since 05-12-2018. Charge sheet has already been submitted. The main allegation is against co-accused namely Banti and Sanjay. So far the petitioner is

concerned, general and omnibus allegation has been made against the petitioner.
On behalf of the State, it is submitted that the petitioner demanded ransom and on refusal, Rs. 50,000/- is alleged to have been snatched away by the petitioner. The petitioner has got altogether 10 criminal antecedents and out of which, in three cases, he has been acquitted and in one case, final form was submitted.
Considering the aforesaid facts and circumstances, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, prayer for bail of the petitioner in connection with Jehanabad P.S. Case No. 719 of 2018 is rejected at this stage.
