In the present writ petition, petitioner is seeking a direction to accept his joining who has been selected after due process of selection on the post of constable in pursuance of Advertisement No.1 of 2012.
Petitioner was selected as constable but the Superintendent of Police after examination of his past career found that he is facing serious criminal case vide Pasraha P.S. Case No.151 of 2002 for offences under Sections 25(1-

B)A, 26, 27 and 35 of the Arms Act and as such he was not allowed to join as constable.
It will be very difficult for the citizen of the State to protect from such type of police force who is facing such charge and rightly he was not allowed to join as constable. Petitioner has very conveniently suppressed the fact while obtaining the joining letter.
In such view of the matter, this Court does not find any merit in this writ petition. It is accordingly dismissed.
