The petitioner is apprehending his arrest in a case registered for the offences punishable under sections 143, 144, 147, 148, 149, 152, 272, 323, 332, 341, 342, 353, 427 and 453 of the Indian Penal Code. The prosecution case is that the mob blocked the road in protest of dashing of an auto rickshaw by rash and negligent driving of a tanker. The mob shouted slogans against the administration and also put the motorcycle of the police on fire.
