The petitioner seeks bail in a case which has been registered under Sections 304(B)/34/201 of the Indian Penal Code. Sangita Devi the daughter of the informant was married with Krishna Mandal @ Arpan in May, 2011. While she was in the house of her in-laws then she was killed by them on account of the fact that she was unable to bring addition dowry. Submission is that the petitioner is maternal uncle of the husband of the deceased. Other accused persons were put on trial in Sessions Trial No. 465 of 2012 wherein the informant was examined as P.W. 4 had not supported the prosecution case and was declared hostile.

Case No. 43 of 2012.
