2 10-09-2012 After purchase of the pick-up van on 29.02.2012, registered in Ranchi, petitioner applied for transfer of ownership of the van before the D.T.O. Gopalganj. On enquiry, he was told that a report had been called for from the D.T.O., Ranchi with regard to registration of the vehicle. Petitioner applied for information under Right to Information Act and was informed by the D.T.O., Ranchi, through his letter dated 07.7.2012, vide Annexure-4, that the NOC in this regard had already been sent to the office of D.T.O., Gopalganj vide Memo No. 4502 dated 18.5.2012.
Grievance is that inspite of receipt of NOC from the D.T O., Ranchi, till today registration of the vehicle has not been transferred in the name of the petitioner with new registration in this State.

If the D.T.O., Gopalganj has received the NOC from the D.T.O., Ranchi and if all other formalities have been completed by the petitioner, it is expected that the registration of the vehicle shall be transferred in favor the petitioner as early as possible.
As such, writ application is disposed of with a direction to the D.T.O., Gopalganj to take action in the matter within one month from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order, in accordance with law.
