2 27-07-2012 Counsel for the petitioner prays for and his permitted to implead the College as respondent no. 7. The relief sought is for payment of arrears of salary from 1.1.2006 to 28.2.2010 in accordance with the revised pay scale.

The petitioner is stated to have superannuated from the University on 20.2.2010.

Counsel for the University submits that no sooner that the information sought from the newly added respondent is made available, the legitimate dues entitlement of the petitioner shall be prepared and forwarded to the State Government and on receipt of funds it shall be paid in accordance with law.

If the university has sought or seeks any information from newly added respondent for determining the dues of the petitioner, the college is bound to furnish the same, if not already done, within a maximum period of two months from the date of receipt and/or presentation of a copy of this order.

The University is bound from the date that it receives necessary information to prepare the dues of the petitioner and submit it to the State Government. The latter shall ensure that the necessary funds in accordance with law are made available to the University within a maximum period of another two months from the date of requisition by the University.

In order to expedite matters in the interest of the petitioner it is directed that he should file a formal representation before the Vice Chancellor whereafter matters shall proceed as discussed and the time period calculated from the date of such representation before the Vice Chancellor.

The writ application stands disposed.
