The petitioner came to this Court challenging the order dated 8.5.2002 initiating disciplinary proceedings against him.

Seven years later, learned counsel for the petitioner is not in a position to inform this Court as to what ultimately happened to the departmental proceedings. In any view of the matter, the petitioner had only questioned the initiation of the departmental proceedings when adequate remedy was available to him to file show cause and to contest the proceedings when it is nobody’s case that the proceeding was bad for lack of jurisdiction.

This writ application is dismissed. This shall, however, not prejudice the petitioner in the event that he proposes to challenge any final order in a freshly constituted writ application.
