The petitioners have approached this Court with the following

prayer:-

“It is therefore prayed that this Hon'ble Court may graciously be pleased to admit this writ application, call for the records, issue notice to the opp. parties and on hearing issue writ of mandamus directing the opp. party Nos. 1 and 2 to publish the name of revenue village Baunsadanda in the Gazette Notification as well as in the Web Portal/NET of the Govt. of Odisha in pursuance of the letter dated 08.01.2026 issued by opp. party No. 3-Collector -CumDistrict Magistrate, Cuttack within a time stipulated by the Hon'ble Court.

And pass any other order/orders, direction/ directions as would be deemed fit and proper as facts

And for the said act of kindness, the petitioners shall as in duty bound ever pray.”

It appears that as per letter dated 08.01.2026, the Collector, Cuttack requested the Additional Secretary to Government in Revenue and Disaster Management Department to issue gazette notification regarding the creation of new revenue villages, Baulapada and Baunsadanda out of mother revenue village Balarampur under Athagarh Tahasil of Cuttack district.
