This CRLMP has been filed for a direction to the Opposite Parties No.3 and 4 to immediately register an FIR based on the Petitioner's complaint dated 09.01.2026 and to conduct a fair and impartial investigation within a stipulated time and for a direction to the Opposite Parties to ensure the immediate removal of the defamatory and fake news content from the respective social media platforms.

On 04.05.2026, Mr. Tapan Mishra, learned counsel for the Petitioner has submitted that as a case has been registered on the complaint of the Petitioner on 30.04.2026, the Petitioner did not

want to proceed with the CRLMP and wanted to withdraw the same.

As neither the case number nor the offences under which the case has been registered, had been provided, the matter has been adjourned to enable learned State Counsel to obtain the necessary instructions.

Today, instructions dated 07.05.2026 of the Cyber Crime and EO PS, Cuttack UPD is produced by Mr. Saroj Kumar Rout, learned Additional Standing Counsel, where it is stated that basing on the report of the Petitioner, Cyber Crime and EO PS Case No. 34 dated 30.04.2026 under Section 353 of BNS read with Section 66-D of the I.T. Act has been registered.

In view of the memo for withdrawal and the instructions submitted by the learned Additional Standing Counsel, the CRLMP is dismissed as withdrawn.
