Orissa High Court at Cuttack (Savitri Ratho, J.), by order dated 30.01.2026 in CRLMP No. 21 of 2026 (Bidyuta Prava Swain v. State of Odisha and others), disposed of the petition without monitoring or interfering with the police investigation. Not satisfied with the instructions dated 13.01.2026, the Court had called for the case diary of Kudanagari Police Station, District Kendrapara on 22.01.2026; the diary disclosed no entries after 10.11.2025, on which date the IIC verified the criminal antecedents of Deepak Kumar Routray and Bhagyalaxmi Routray from the PS record/CCTNS and found them involved in Kudanagari PS Case No. 300 dated 31.10.2025 under Section 420/294/506 of the IPC. The instructions had indicated that, as per an order of this Court in ABLAPL No. 2015/2025, the accused were released on bail on their surrender before the learned SDJM, Kendrapara on 02.06.2025. This Court has not satisfied with the instructions dated 13.01.2026 on 22.01.2026, this Court had called for the case diary in Kudanagari Police Station of District Kendrapara. Perusal of the case diary reveals that there are no entries after 10.11.2025 in the case diary. On the said date, the IIC has verified the Criminal antecedents of Deepak Kumar Routray and Bhagyalaxmi Routray, which are available in the PS record/ CCTNS and found that they are involved in Kudanagari PS Case No. 300 dated 31.10.2025 under Section 420/294/506 of the IPC. In instruction dated 13.01.206 it had been indicated that as per order passed by this Court in ABLAPL No. 2015/2025 the accused Deepak Kumar Routray and Bhagyalaxmi Routray have been released on bail on their surrender in the Court of the learned SDJM, Kendrapara on 02.06.2025.
