This CRLMP had been filed by the petitioner being aggrieved by the inaction of the Opposite Party No.3 in taking steps on the FIR in Sasan PS Case No. 08 of 2024.

Pursuant to order dated 19.01.2026, the instruction dated 21.01.2026 of the IIC, Sasan Police Station, Sambalpur has been received in connection with Sasan P.S. Case No. 08 of 2024, where he has given a table indicating the steps taken by him in the case along with the dates. The same is taken on record. It shall be scanned and incorporated in the digital record.

From a perusal of the instructions, it appears that Prabir Keshari Tripathy, the present IIC has taken charge of the case on 04.03.2025 and thereafter, he has described the steps taken by him in the case. It is mentioned in the table that notice was issued to the

complainant for production of documents on 10.04.2025. He was examined on 20.05.2025 and on 10.08.2025, documents have been seized from him and witnesses Puni Munda, Debaki Munda, Jiten Munda and Mithun Munda have been examined on 15.09.2025. Thereafter, on 07.10.2025, requisition has been sent to the Tahasildar Sadar, Sambalpur for supply of documents. On 15.01.2026, requisition has been made to the Sub-Registrar, Rengali for supply of the registered sale deed. Witnesses Surubabu Bhoi and Saleman Hembram have been examined on 04.11.2025 and accused Lalit Mohan Kalo and Sriranjan Pattnaik have been arrested on 16.01.2026.

As the investigation is pending since 2024, the CRLMP is disposed of with the direction to the IIC-Opposite Party No.3 to take effective steps for expeditious completion of the investigation.
