This is an application by the petitioner for permitting him to rectify the FIR and case number in the synopsis as well as in the cause title of the bail application. 2. Heard Mr. Santanu Kumar Sarangi, learned Senior Counsel, who is being assisted by Mr. Siddhant Sarangi, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. M.R. Patra, learned Addl. PP in the matter and perused the record.

Accordingly, the prayer of the petitioner stands allowed and the petitioner is permitted to rectify the numbers of the FIR and case in the bail application by filing a consolidated copy of bail application. At this stage, Mr. Sarangi, learned Senior Counsel brings it to the notice of the Court that the consolidated copy of the bail application has already been filed, so also the copy of FIR together with another copy of impugned order of rejection of bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, I.A. No. 305 of 2026 stands disposed of.

This is the bail application U/S.483 of the BNSS by the petitioner for grant of bail in connection with Nayapalli P.S. Case No. 118 of 2023 corresponding to C.T. Case No. 265 of 2023 pending in the Court of learned JMFC-III, Bhubaneswar, for commission of offence punishable U/Ss.420/417/506 of IPC.

The allegation as divulged from the record is that the petitioner had taken loan of Rs.75Lakhs from the informant, but in order to repay the same, the petitioner had issued six cheques for a sum of Rs.50Lakhs with the assurance to return the balance amount in 2^nd installment, however, such cheques were dishonored, but the informant even after issuance of notice against the petitioner has not instituted any case for dishonor of cheque, rather he has instituted before the Court a complaint which was sent U/S.156(3) of CrPC only to be resulted in the present case and the petitioner was accordingly taken into custody on 15.12.2025 in this case. 6. Heard Mr. Santanu Kumar Sarangi, learned Senior Counsel, who is being assisted by Mr. Siddhant Sarangi, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. M.R. Patra, learned Addl. PP in the matter and perused the record.

After having considered the rival submissions and taking into consideration the nature and gravity of the offences as alleged against the petitioner vis-à-vis the accusations sought to be brought against him and regard

being had to the pre-trial detention of the petitioner in custody since 11.11.2025 with submission of charge sheet in the meantime and keeping in view the offences being triable by Magistrate, but do not prescribing punishment beyond 07 years and applying the law laid down by the Apex Court in Satender Kumar Antil Vrs. Central Bureau of Investigation; (2022) 10 SCC 51 and taking into account the circumstance preceding to the lodging of FIR, this Court without expressing any view on merit, admits the petitioner to bail.

Hence, the bail application of the petitioner stands allowed and the petitioner is allowed to go on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs.25,000/- (Rupees Twentyfive Thousand) with one solvent surety for the like amount to the satisfaction of the learned Court in seisin of the case on such terms and conditions as deem fit and proper by it. 9. Accordingly, the BLAPL stands disposed of. Issue urgent certified copy of the order as per Rules. A soft copy of this order be immediately communicated to the concerned Court, who shall afterwards communicate the same to the concerned Jail through e-mail for reference.
