1 . This matter is taken up through hybrid arrangement.

The Petitioner, by filing this Writ Petition, has sought for a direction from this Court to the Tahasildar, Puri to consider the application for settlement of land under Khata No.795 Plot No.ll69(part) in Mauza Puri Sahar unit No.28 (Area A0.012.0 decimal/519 Sq.feet out of Area A4.4.828 decimal in his favour.

3. Learned counsel for the Petitioner submits that the grandfather of the Petitioner possessed Railway land under Khata No.795, Plot No.1169 (part) in Mouza-Puri Sahar Unit No.28 (Area A0.012.0 decimal/519 Square feet out of Area A4.4.828 decimal). The Petitioner has

continuously been possessing over the said plot since 1968 till date of sad demise of his grandfather. The Chairman, Puri Municipality, Puri taking into consideration that the Petitioner has continuously been possessing over the Government land under Khata No.795 Plot No.ll69(part) in Mauza Puri Sahar unit No.28 (Area AO.012.0 decimal/S19 Sq.feet out of Area A4.4.828 decimal) and being a BPL landless poor person, make an Usha survey for allotment of land as per the Odisha Land Rights to Slum Dwellers Rules, 2017 in which the house No.240 is provided to the Petitioner.

4. However, the Petitioner has made an application through registered post on 27.12.2024 to the learned Tahasildar, Puri for settlement of the land in his favour, which is still pending before him till date.

5. Learned counsel for the State submits that the said application before the Tahasildar, Puri was last listed on 16.06.2025 and on that day, the Petitioner sought for additional time and the matter has been posted to 30.06.2025.

6. In view of the above, since the matter is already posted to 30.06.2025, this Court directs the Petitioner to appear before the Tahasildar, Puri along with the

required documents. In such event, the Tahasildar, Puri shall pass an appropriate order in accordance with law.

7. Accordingly, the Writ Petition stands disposed of.
