1 . This matter is taken up through hybrid arrangement.

By way of this Writ Petition, the proprietor representing the Petitioner-Industries has sought for a direction from this Court to the Principal Chief Conservator of Forest & HoFF, Odisha/Opposite Party No.2 for taking a lawful decision on the application for rehabilitation of his old Saw Mill in question in the new Industrial Estate at Choudwar as per the guidelines vide Annexure-2.

Pursuant to the earlier order of this Court, learned counsel for the State, at the outset, on instruction, submits that the Petitioner has neither applied nor submitted any documents before the authority concerned for rehabilitation of his old Saw Mill in question. The communication dated 05.03.2025

made on this regard by the Conservator of Forest I/c, Cuttack Forest Division submitted in Court today be kept on record. 5. At this juncture, learned counsel for the Petitioner prays for granting permission to the Petitioner to approach the Principal Chief Conservator of Forest & HoFF, Odisha-cumChairman SLC/ Opposite Party No.2 for the above purpose.

Considering the submissions made on behalf of the parties and looking to the communication dated 05.03.2025, this Court directs the Petitioner to approach the Principal Chief Conservator of Forest & HoFF, Odisha-cum-Chairman SLC along with necessary application as per the procedure within ten working days hence. In such event, the Principal Chief Conservator of Forest & HoFF, Odisha-cum-Chairman SLC shall look into the grievance of the Petitioner and pass a lawful order in this matter within a period of one month thereafter.

At this juncture, considering the further submission of learned counsel for the Petitioner and looking to the age of the Petitioner, this Court directs the Principal Chief Conservator of Forest & HoFF, Odisha-cum-Chairman SLC to permit the family members or any other legal representative of the Petitioner to place the case of the Petitioner on his behalf.
