1. Heard learned counsel for the Parties.

By means of this application, the Petitioner seeks the intervention of this Court for a direction to the Opposite Parties to ensure a proper investigation in connection with Purighat P.S. Case No.257 of 2025.

The learned counsel for the State, on the other hand, has placed the written instruction of the IIC, Purighat P.S. dated 07.12.2025, wherein it is disclosed that during the course of the investigation in the above said P.S. Case No.257 of 2025, the Informant was examined, the statement of the witnesses have also been recorded, the accused persons were also thoroughly interrogated, gold ornaments recovered weighing 17.740 gm and cash of Rs.3,00,000/- from Saroj Sethi and Chandan Jena, the

recovered gold articles have been seized under the proper seizure list in presence of the independent witnesses and the same has also been handed over to the Informant Sumant Adhya. A substantial part of the amount alleged to have been misappropriated has also been recovered. The four accused persons have been served with notice under Section 35(3) of the BNSS, requiring them to appear before the investigating officer and to cooperate with the investigation and the accused persons Saroj Jethy, Chandan Maharana and Nandu @ Sunil Maharana except Gourav Maharana are appearing before the I.O. in compliance with the notice and the investigation is in progress.

In view of the above instructions, it is expected that the investigating agency shall proceed in accordance with law with utmost promptness and to complete the same within a reasonable period.

The CRLMP stands disposed of accordingly.
