Since these two bail applications arise out of one and same case record, the same are heard together and disposed of by this common order with the consent of the learned counsel for the parties. 3. These are the bail applications U/S.483 of BNSS by the petitioners for grant of bail in connection with Kharavel Nagar PS Case No.111 of 2022 corresponding to CT Case No.109 of 2022 pending in the file of learned ADJ-V, Bhubaneswar, for commission of offences punishable U/Ss.302/307/325/120-B/323 of IPC, on the allegation of committing murder of one Babulu Behera and attempting to the life of Puja Behera.

Heard, Mr. Anup Udaya Senapati, learned counsel for both the petitioners and Mr. P. Satpathy, learned Additional Public Prosecutor in the matter and perused the record.

The only ground under which the bail is sought for the petitioners is delay in disposal of the case. However, on going through the materials placed on record together with the allegation and the materials collected in support thereof by the investigating agency and taking into account the other circumstance on record in entirety including the statement of the injured eye witness, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioners.

Hence, the bail applications of the petitioners Raja @ Rajesh Mohapatra and Gedu @ Ajaya Rout stand rejected.

Accordingly, BLAPL Nos.531 & 6697 of 2025 stand disposed of. The petitioners are, however, at liberty to renew their prayer for bail after examination of injured eye witness.
