guideline issued on 10.01.2022 in respect of the Poultry Farm by the Central Pollution Control Board (Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India), New Delhi. In 2021 guideline all the majors have been stated relating to the operation of the Poultry Farms as per the classification of the Small (5,000 to 25,000 birds), Medium (Above 25,000 to 1,00,000 birds) and Large (Above 1,00,000 birds). It is also stated that the Poultry farms under small category are in unorganized run by economically weaker farms and are of rural background. The same has been mentioned in Clause 4.0 of the August, 2021 guideline. In Clause 6.2 it has been mentioned relating to management of Solid Waste (Solid Wastes contents manure/litter, Hatcheri Debris and dead birds). In the said clause it has been categorically stated in Clause III relating to dead birds disposal wherein it has been stated relating to burial method and in the said Clause III(b) it has been stated relating to composting where it has been stated that the composting facility shall not be located within 300 mtrs. from the nearest dwelling and 100 mtrs. From any well or water course. In the said clause also other methods have been indicated. In Clause 7 it has been stated relating to sitting criteria relating to new poultry farms but nothing has been stated relating to the farm already established. In the said Clause 7 it has been categorically stated that the farm should have been situated 500 mtrs. from residential zone in order to avoid nuisance caused due to odour & flies, 100 mtrs. from major water course like River, Lakes, canals and drinking water source like wells, summer storage tanks, in order to avoid contamination due to
