ORDER 20.07.2023 1 . This matter is taken up through hybrid arrangement. 2 . Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned counsel for the State.

The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking direction to the Collector, Bhadrak/Opposite Party No.2 to consider the representation dated 17.05.2023 of the petitioner pending for Financial assistance towards outbreak of fire on 21.01.2023 in her house situated at Village Jagannathpur, P.S. Basudevpur, District Bhadrak within a short stipulated time.
4 . The brief facts of the case is that due to previous enmity, one Bhaskar Mallik and his family members burnt the house of the petitioner on 21.02.2023 at about

6.30 P.M. When the staff of Fire Station, Bhadrak arrived there, four rooms of the House along with household articles were completely burnt. The Assistant Fire Officer, Fire Station, Bhadrak issued a certificate on 25.01.2023 stating therein that four rooms of the house along with household articles have been completely burnt. The mother of the petitioner had also lodged F.I.R. on the same day i.e. on 21.01.2023 in Basudevpur Police Station regarding Fire incident against Bhaskar Mallik and his family members. But except registration of F.I.R. no further action has yet been taken on the F.I.R. The petitioner approached the Collector, Bhadrak through representation dated 17.05.2023 for financial assistance but till date no help has been provided to the family of the petitioner.

Considering the limited grievance of the petitioner and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court disposes of the writ petition directing the Opposite Party No.2/Collector, Bhadrak to take a decision on the representation filed by the petitioner vide Annexure-1 within a period of one month from the date of production of authenticated/certified copy of this order by the petitioner.
