Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned counsel for the State.

The petitioner is apprehending arrest in connection with Basta P.S. Case No. 275 of 2023 corresponding to C.T. Case NO. 663 of 2023 pending in the court of learned J.M.F.C., Basta for the alleged commission of offence under Sections 498-A/323/294/342/506/34 of IPC and Section 4 of the D.P. Act.

As per the postal tracking report the notice appears to have been served upon the informant-opposite party No.2. There is however, no appearance.

It is alleged that the petitioner, who is the husband of the informant, subjected her to physical and mental cruelty in connection with demand for dowry. Several allegations have been made most of which appear to be

omnibus in nature.

Considering the nature of accusations and also the materials on record while not being grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner, the ABLAPL is disposed of granting liberty to the petitioner to surrender before the court below within two weeks from the date of receipt of the certified copy of this order and to move for bail. In such event, he shall be released on bail on such terms and conditions as the court below may deem fit and proper to impose.
