The petitioner is apprehending arrest in connection with G.R. Case No. 229 of 2023 arising out of Khandapada P.S. Case No. 234 of 2023 pending in the court of learned JMFC, Khandapada.

The case has arisen out of a complaint lodged by one Manoranjan Pradhan who is the stenographer of the present petitioner, who is an advocate in Khandapada Bar Association. It is alleged that a sum of Rs. 2,50,000/- was borrowed by the petitioner from the complainant on different dates through electronic transfer but said amount was not repaid. the parties is purely civil in nature.

Considering the nature of accusations and also the materials on record, while not being inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner, the ABLAPL is disposed of granting liberty to the petitioner to surrender before the court below within a week from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order and to move for bail. In such event, he shall be released on bail on such terms and conditions as the court below may deem fit and proper to impose.
