Abul Pradhan Vs Panchayati Raj and D.W. Dept, Odisha

The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking direction to opposite party no.4 to give him promotion to the post of Section Officer along with all consequential service and financial benefits taking into consideration the judgment of acquittal passed by the learned Addl. Sessions Judge, Padampur in Criminal Appeal No.62/37/6 of 2008/2013 under Annexure-1 and the order dated 09.03.2021 passed by the Division Bench of this Court in CRLLP No.65 of 2019 under Annexure-2. In course of hearing, learned counsel for the petitioner states that highlighting the grievances, the petitioner has made representation to opposite party no.4 vide Annexure-14 and the same may be directed to be disposed of within a stipulated time taking into consideration Annexures-1 and 2.

Considering the limited grievance of the petitioners, this Court without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, disposes of the writ petition directing opposite party no.4 to consider the representation filed by the petitioners vide Annexure-14 and pass appropriate order in accordance with law taking into consideration Annexures-1 and 2 within a period of three months from the date of production of authenticated/certified copy of this order.
