This appeal is taken up today in the the 4^th National Lok Adalat through hybrid Mode.

Heard Mr. G.P.Dutta, learned counsel for the appellantOriental Insurance Company and Mr. P.K.Nayak, learned counsel for the Respondent-claimants.

In this case, the Insurance Company has assailed the order dated 24^th March, 2020 passed by the learned 1^st Addl. District

Judge-cum-3^rd M.A.C.T., Rourkela in M.A.C. Case No.119/2017 whereby a sum of Rs.10,67,920/- was directed to be paid to the claimants.

The parties have however, agreed that the MACA be disposed of in terms of the compromise reached between them. A joint petition for compromise has been filed stating that a sum of Rs.8,00,000/- (Rupees Eight Lakhs) only along with 6% interest per annum from the date of claim application shall be paid to the claimant. The joint petition filed by the learned counsel for the Appellant and Respondents be kept on record.

Accordingly, the MACA is disposed of by directing appellant-Oriental Insurance Company to deposit Rs.8,00,000/(Rupees Eight Lakhs) only along with 6% interest per annum from the date of claim application before the 1^st Addl. District Judge-cum-1^st M.A.C.T., Rourkela in the aforesaid case within a period of two months from the date of production of copy of this order whereupon the same shall be disbursed in favour of the aforesaid Respondent-claimants.

Statutory amount deposited before the Registrar (Judicial) be refunded to the Insurance Company along with interest accrued thereon after showing receipt of payment of the aforesaid amount.
