Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. Senapati, learned Additional Government Advocate through video conferencing mode.

According to learned counsel for the petitioner, the grievance of the petitioner, who is working as a Khalasi in Work Charged Establishment pertains to inaction of the opposite parties in regularizing his services. In this context, he relies on the decisions of this Court as rendered in O.J.C. Nos.13552, 12087 of 1999 and W.P.(C) No.17369 of 2016. However, during course of hearing, he submits that liberty may be granted to the petitioner to move opposite party No.1 in the matter and the said opposite party be directed to take a decision on the same within a specific time period.

Considering the submissions made and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court grants liberty to the petitioner to file a representation before the opposite party No.1 within a period of two weeks from today along with a copy of this order. In the event, such representation is filed, the opposite party No.1 is directed to take a decision on the same in accordance with law within a period of three months from the date of receipt of such representation and communicate the result of the same to the petitioner.

Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of.
