Heard Mr. N. Panda, learned counsel for the petitioner and Miss S. Mishra, learned Additional Standing Counsel for the State-opposite parties.
Considering the limited nature of request involved in this matter, this Writ Petition stands disposed of with a direction to the Engineer-in-charge, Rural Water Supply & Sanitation, Odisha-opposite party no.3 to consider the case of the petitioner regarding regularization of his service and take a lawful decision in the matter taking into account the decision of the Hon’ble apex Court in the case of Secretary, State of Karnataka Vrs. Uma Devi & others , reported in 2006 (4) SCC 1 and in the case of State of Karnataka & others Vrs. M.L. Kesari & others SLP(C) No.15774/2006. The entire exercise shall be completed within a period of two months from the date of communication of a certified copy of this order along with true copy of the judgments cited above by the petitioner.
