Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and learned Addl. Government Advocate.
Petitioners in this writ petition seek for a direction to opposite party No.2-Collector, Angul to redetermine the compensation amount under Section 28-A(1) of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894 on the basis of the award passed by the Civil Court in L.A. Case No. 126 of 2002.
Learned counsel for the petitioners contended that though the Civil Court has calculated the enhanced compensation amount in L.A. Case No. 126 of 2002 till date the opposite party No.2 has not re-determined the compensation amount under Section 28-A(1) of the Land Acquisition Act pending before him vide Annexure-3. Hence the present writ petition with the aforesaid prayer.

In view of the above, we dispose of the writ petition with a direction to opposite party No.2-Collector, Angul to consider the application filed under Section 28-A(1) of the Land Acquisition Act, if not already disposed, on production of the certified copy of the order and calculate the enhanced compensation amount and disburse the same as early as possible preferably by end of April, 2020.
