According to Mr. Rout, the grievance of the petitioner in this case pertains to non-extension of the benefits of Indira Awas Yojana to him so as to enable him to construct a house on his own. Though according to Mr. Rout the petitioner has approached the Collector, Cuttack (opposite party no1) under Annexure-2 series on 5.7.2016, however, during course of hearing, he submits that liberty may be granted to the petitioner to file a fresh representation before the Collector, Cuttack (opposite party no.1) and prays that a direction be issued to the said opposite party to take a decision on the same within a specific time period.
Considering such submissions and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court grants liberty to the petitioner to file a representation before the Collector, Cuttack (opposite party no.1) afresh within a period of two weeks. In the event, such a representation is filed, the said opposite party is directed to take a decision on the same within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of such representation in accordance with law and communicate the result of such exercise to the petitioner.
The writ application is accordingly disposed of.
