Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. Dash, learned Additional Standing Counsel.
According to the learned counsel for the petitioner, the grievance of the petitioner in this case pertains to non-registration of her complaint dated 02.03.2019 under Annexure-1 as F.I.R. by the I.I.C., Town Police Station, Khurda (opposite party No.3) though the same reveals commission of cognizable offences. He further submits that though against such inaction, the petitioner has approached the Superintendent of Police, Khurda (opposite party No.2) on 10.04.2019 under Annexure-2 by filing a grievance petition however, till date no action has been taken on the same. Mr. Dash submits that there is nothing to show that the grievance petition dated 10.04.2019 was sent to the Superintendent of Police, Khurda through registered post. In such background, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that liberty may be granted to the petitioner to move opposite party No.2 in the matter afresh and the said opposite party may be directed to take a decision on such motion within a specific time period.

Considering the submissions made and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court grants liberty to the petitioner to file grievance petition before opposite party No.2 through registered post within a period of two weeks from today. In the event, such petition is filed along with the certified copy of this order, the said opposite party would do well to take a decision on such motion in accordance with law keeping in mind the decision of

the Supreme Court in the case of Lalita Kumari Vs. State of U.P. & Others reported in AIR 2014 SC 187 within a period of four weeks from the date of filing of such petition. The petitioner be intimated about the result of such exercise.
Accordingly, this CRLMP is disposed of.
Urgent certified copy of this order be granted on proper application.
