The petitioner being in custody in Sambalpur Northern Division EI & EB Unit-II Excise P.R. No.63 of 2018/19 corresponding to 2(a) CC No.3 of 2018 pending in the court of the learned Special Judge-cum-Sessions Judge, Sundergarh running for the alleged commission of offence under sections 20(b)(ii)(C) of the N.D.P.S. Act has filed this application under section 439, Cr.P.C. for his release on bail.
Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned counsel for the State.
Considering the submissions made and keeping in view the nature of accusations against the petitioner, at this stage, I am not inclined to release the petitioner on bail. Accordingly, his prayer for bail stands rejected.
The BLAPL is accordingly disposed of.
