01.12.2017 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner. The learned counsel for the petition er has served an advance copy of the writ petition on Mr. Dhanjan Sahu, learned counsel for th e Railways. The petitioner happens to be the wedded wife of Krushna Chandr a Pradhan. At present, the present petitioner is residing in a rented house along with her min or son-Lalit Pradhan, aged about 12 years, who is persecuting his study in Jayeshree Chemicals Convent School, Ganjam. Uing. The grievance of the petitioner is that she has made a represen tation to the General Manager, S.E. Railway, Garden Reach, Kolkata for grant of children educa tion assistance and other benefits including family pass etc in favour of Lalit Pradhan, S/o K rushna Chandra Pradhan (GSH, Jharsuguda).

In view of the fact that a representation has been made and the learned counse l submits that there is no dispute regarding parentage of the Lalit Pradhan, prima facie this Court is satisfied that the representation of the petitioner should be considered by the oppos ite parties. The petitioner is residing in Ganjam.

Hence, the writ petition is disposed of without expressing any opinion on the merits of the claim of the petitioner. Let the representation be disposed of by the opposite p arty no.2, after affording reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and the opposit e party no.4. Only if the parentage of the said Lalit Pradhan is challenged by opposite party no.4 by arranging cogent material, the representation should be considered favourably by the o pposite party no.2 and should be disposed of by a reasoned order within a period of forty-fiv e days from the date of production of certified copy of this order.

The petitioner undertakes to produce a certified copy of this order along with a copy of the brief before the authority within a period of fifteen working days. Urgent certified copy of this order be granted as per rules.
