Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Additional Government Advocate.
2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was appointed 0n 2.11.1
988 as a Lecturer in Political Science in Shrama Shakti College, Biramitrapur in the district
of Sundargarh and her appointment was approved by the authority and she was paid salary from 1
.6.1994. He further submits that according to the Orissa Revised Sale of Pay Rules, 1998 her s
cale of pay was revised, but she has not received her revised differential arrear salary with
effect from1.1.1996 to 30.9.2002. He further submits that the petitioner has made representati
on continuously and her last representation was made on 27.9.2016 to the concerned authorities
, but all are in vain. So he submits that direction may be issued to the concerned authority t
o pay her differential arrear salary for the above period.
3. Learned Additional Government Advocate submits that the request for revised arrear sal
ary has been made late and if a proper representation is made, his representation would be con
sidered and disposed of according to law.
4. Considering all submissions of learned counsels for both parties and the grievance bei
ng limited one, without going to the merit of the case, the writ application is disposed of wi
th a direction to the petitioner to file an application before the opp. party no.2 with all su
pporting documents within a period of three weeks and the opp. Party no.2 would consider and
take decision in accordance with law after affording reasonable opportunity of being heard to
the petitioner in accordance with law within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt
of the representation and communicate the decision to the petitioner by
