The petitioner has filed this application alleging that the orders of this Court dat
ed 30.07.2015 and 08.12.2015 have not been complied with.
Mr. P. Chulli, learned counsel for the petitioner states that though the authority
has complied with the order, the scale of pay of the petitioner has not been mentioned in the
order of approval passed by the authority.
Mr. B. Bhuyan, learned Addl. Govt. Advocate for the State-opposite parties produces
the letter dated 26.12.2016 by which an amount of Rs.12,93,730/- has already been deposited wi
th the Principal, Nayagarh Autonomous College, Nayagarh vide letter no.46121 dated 22.12.2016
of the Director Higher Education for payment of arrear salary for the period 17.12.1996 to 29.
02.2016 during the current financial year 2016-17. Therefore, it is stated that the order of t
his Court has already been complied with. Copy of the said letter be kept on record.
In such view of the matter, the order of this Court having been complied with, the c
ontempt proceeding is hereby dropped. However, if the petitioner has any grievance with regard
to the order passed on 26.12.2016, he is at liberty to approach the appropriate forum, if he
is so advised.
Accordingly, the contempt proceeding is dropped.
