In an earlier application, the case of the Supervisor of the Puri-Nimapara Cen
tral Co-operative Bank, Astaranga was considered in ABLAPL No.15622/2015 and disposed of on 23
.12.2016. The present petitioner happens to be the Secretary of the Edabansa Service Co-operat
ive Society Ltd., Talada. This Court has come to the conclusion that the Secretary of the Edab
ansa Service Co-operative Society Ltd., along with Supervisor of the aforesaid Bank has disbur
sed loans to the persons, who are not the land owners in respect of which documents have been
submitted and in the process, an amount of Rs.11 lakhs approximately has been swindled. Howeve
r, in course of hearing of the bail application, it was submitted by the learned counsel for t
he petitioner that the petitioner has relevant document, which shows that he is not involved i
n the commission of the crime. Accordingly, on 27.10.2016, this Court directed that the petiti
oner shall appear before the Investigating Officer and produce all relevant documents. On such
event, the I.O. was directed to examine the documents and to give a report to the learned Add
l. Standing Counsel. In accordance thereof, the petitioner appeared before the I.O., who has e
xamined the same and the contention raised by the learned counsel for the petitioner. It is ap
parent from the record that the petitioner has taken plea that he is a co-sharer of chaka land
