Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and Mrs. S. Pattnaik, learned Additional Gove
rnment Advocate for the State.
By means of this writ application, the petitioner has prayed for a direction to the op
posite parties to pay him the ex-gratia assistance as per the declaration made by the Central
Government as well as State Government keeping in view the Letter dated 24.9.2004 issued from
the Office of the Honble Prime Minister, for the death of his daughter-Tapoi Maity under the i
mpact of Super Cyclone in the year 1999.
In the midst of hearing, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that highlighting
all his grievances, the petitioner has filed a representation on 12.1.2015 under Annexure-6 be
fore opposite party no.2. But, till date, nothing has been done in the matter. Accordingly, he
prays that a direction may be given to opposite party no.2 to dispose of the representation d
ated 12.1.2015 under Annexure-6 within a stipulated time.
Considering the submissions made and without expressing any opinion on the merits of t
he case, this Court directs opposite party no.2 to dispose of the representation dated 12.1.20
15 filed by the petitioner under Annexure-6 by passing a reasoned order in accordance with law
within a period of three months from the date of production of certified copy of this order.
This Court further directs the petitioner to submit a copy of Annexure-6 while submitting cert
ified copy of this order before opposite party no.2 in order to expedite disposal of the repre
sentation.
The writ application is accordingly disposed of.
Issue urgent certified copy of this order on proper application.
