This writ petition has been filed for quashing of the advertisements d
ated 5.12.2007, as per Annexures-1 and 2 respectively, published in the daily The Sambad and
the notification dated 19.11.2007, issued by the Special Officer (Spl. Cell), Orissa High Cour
t, Cuttack, as per Annexure-3 to the writ petition.
During course of hearing, learned counsel for the petitioner submits t
hat with the efflux of time, the petitioner has already been promoted and therefore, the writ
petition has become infructuous.
In view of such submission, the writ petition is dismissed as infructu
ous.
Interim order dated 18.12.2007 stands vacated.
